Standard Aero's 3-day "Facilitating Lean Events" course teaches your people how to facilitate Kaizens and other Continuous Process Improvement events.
This course goes beyond the definition of fundamental Lean principles and tools.  The course will provide all the practical and tactical skills required to guide your colleagues to Lean Solutions.
Upon completion of this 3-day program, participants will be able to plan and facilitate Kaizens and other Continuous Process Improvement events, implement the changes and sustain the improvements.

Message from the Chair:

Hello  :

We've got more exciting things happening within our section that I want to share with you all.  First of all, I want to let you all know about our new website.  It has been in the works for the last month or so and is almost complete.  The new website has much to offer.  It has a calendar with all of our events as well as a post for each event which gives details and the ability to RSVP.  We added a job / services page that will allow any member to post job postings available in their companies or free services that an individual or company is willing to offer to the membership.  We have a Quality Topics tab that will keep the membership in the know on things that are important to us all (any suggestions on topics or content are appreciated) and we have a Learning and Certification tab that gives information on upcoming certification exams as well as information on how to recertify.  Of course these are just a few things the website offers.  I encourage you all to take a minute to peruse the page and give me your feedback.  Thanks to everyone who has supported this effort and especially those that have helped with the content of the website.
You can visit the website here:

We have five Section Leadership Committee (SLC) members attending World Conference this week.  The conference is always a huge success, with our very own Regional Director, Tim Koester, at the helm.   Each attending member will bring back a plethora of knowledge that will support the growth of our section and members.  It is exciting to be able to take advantage of such a great opportunity.  Stay tuned for details from the conference in June's newsletter.
New and current year SLC members:  Please plan on attending a Leadership meeting on June 18th.  This meeting will focus on our business plan and budgeting for the upcoming year.  Although I promised to try to do some of these electronically, this is one that we need to put some face time into.  Please let me know if there is a conflict that will not allow you to attend.  This is especially important for incoming SLC members.
