ASQ Golden Spike Section Announces
2009 / 2010 Officer Election Results
March 12, 2009- The election results for next year's Section Officers were announced during our Leadership Training event last Thursday evening. The Section Operating Agreement (SOA) requires the election of officers consisting of a Section Chair, Section Treasurer, and Section Secretary. The election was uncontested with last years SLC remaining in place. Robert Allotta will remain as Section Secretary. Paul Harbath will continue his position as Section Treasurer, and Chris Hayes will continue as Section Chair. The section is on target to meet the deadline of May 1st for completing and submitting the officer list to Headquarters and our Regional Director. |
2009 / 2010 Committee Chair Appointments
The SOA requires the section to have a Section Leadership Committee consisting of both the elected officers and appointed Committee Chairs. The Committee Chair list must be completed and submitted to HQ and RD by June 30th. This year we have had quite a few more members interested in participating in these appointed positions. Although the various positions were discussed during the Leadership Training event, only some of the appointed positions make sense for our section at this time. The following appointed positions are being considered for the 2009 / 2010 fiscal year:

The committee solicits speakers, plans events, and writes program communications for inclusion in newsletter. - Internet Liaison - Maintains section internet website. Provides current and relevant information to the the membership via the website. Commitment - This year we will redevelop an external website. Time commitment will be heavier in the beginning during this process, but will subside to approximately 2 hrs per month.
If you think you may be interested in one of these appointed positions or one of the committes that serves them, please contact me at 801-791-1654. I would be happy to discuss the positions and the commitments in more detail. Many of these positions can be shared in order to reduce the individual time commitment required. All appointed leaders should expect to attend a large majority of the monthly activities as well as quarterly leadership meetings required by the Section Operating Agreement. Committee Chairs will be announced at our June meeting. |
