May Brain Teaser
There is a common English word that is nine letters long. Each time you remove a letter from it, it still remains an English word - from nine letters right down to a single letter. What is the original word, and what are the words that it becomes after removing one letter at a time?

Greetings!
What a great tour at INOVAR!!!
On April 23rd the Golden Spike Chapter met at INOVAR in Logan Utah. The tour was hosted by Don McFarland (past GSC Chair) who gave an overview of the company as well as a tour of their facility. INOVAR produces circuit board assemblies for a diverse group of industries. Past company awards include "Best of State" and "Utah 100" plus they have experienced tremendous growth since their inception.
During the tour we saw the new layout for their recent expansion that was driven by their continued growth. Their processes were full of very sophisticated equipment to reduce hand assembly errors, an extensive integrated computerized quality tracking system, visual Kan Ban scheduling systems and much more.
I can't speak for all 13 tour participants but I personally was on overload by the end of the night and very impressed with Don's knowledge and understanding of the INOVAR quality systems (including registration to ISO9001:2000, ISO-13485 and ISO14001 in progress) and the overall production systems at INOVAR. They are definitely a benchmark for employee involvement with one of their top objectives to be the "employer of choice" in Cache Valley which is truly a living value; pretty impressive.
Thank you so much to Don and all that attended. Next month we are scheduled to go to Presto Plastics in Lewiston. We are expecting another great tour. Please plan to attend.

Name the Newletter Contest
Robert Allotta is the winner of our "Name the Newsletter" contest. Robert's entry was simple and fitting. The new name for our newsletter is "The Spike". Kind of catchy, don't you think? Thank you to all of our entrants.
