Moore Farms
Happy Spring!

We enjoyed probably the finest First Day of Spring in recent memory this week, simply gorgeous. We took a bunch of pics of all the growing things around the Farm to share in celebration (see below)!

This week we are highlighting two new Handmade Pastas from Storico Fresco in Atlanta! Many thanks to Member Dave Coustan who turned us on to this wonderful new producer. The Pappardelle is familiar to us but the Lumachelle is something special: a rolled Pasta shape delicately flavored with Lemon and a touch of Cinnamon, Lumachelle means "little snails" in Italian. We enjoyed a tasting of it prepared with a light cream sauce, thyme and wild mushrooms form the farm, yum! To learn more about Storico Fresco click here. We sold out of our first delivery lickety-split but we have more coming for next week!

CALL US! Please, folks, if you ever have a problem with your order such as (1) you can't find the Pickup Location, (2) forget to pickup your order or (3) forget the Additional Cooler Items PLEASE call us on our cell phone so we can help! We repeatedly stress this as an important responsibility for our Members, so much that we require you to acknowledge this every time your order by checking the "Member Responsibilities" box. If you email us we will more than likely not get your message for a couple of days especially at this  busy time of year! If you get the answering machine leave us a message and we will get it. Less urgent (though not any less important) issues such as an item we missed or if something isn't right about your order please DO email us so we can make it up in your next order: there is no need to call us right away if a Tomato has a bad spot or if we missed the Pecans for your box, we can't get them to you until next week at the earliest! If something is REALLY bad about your order we greatly appreciate a picture emailed to us so we can see what you are seeing: this will help us immensely to figure out what the problem is (one time a Member thought their Yellow Carrots were "unripe" and threw then away!). One last important reminder, PLEASE be sure to check your Order Receipt and Order Confirmation emails when you place your order: lately we have had folks who realize too late that they chose the wrong Pickup Location. We can change this anytime right up until the delivery day so please be sure we are sending your box to the right place. THANK YOU everyone!!!

Junior League of Atlanta Tour of Kitchens! I realized this weekend that I had neglected to include the 2012 Junior League of Atlanta Tour of Kitchens in our Upcoming Events!! This is a terrific weekend of delicious food tastings and dream kitchen touring in Atlanta. If you are thinking about a kitchen remodel this is an excellent opportunity to see up close some wonderful kitchen innovations and meet the designers and architects. We are honored to participate again this year, Will and I will be doing our Good Food demos and tastings on each day so come on out and see us (we will be at House #6 on Saturday and House #12 on Sunday)! Click here to see the details about the tour.

Member Recipe

Many thanks to Member Angela Singleton who taped this terrific recipe to her box when she sent it back. We wanted to include the Farm Pics in the Newsletter this week so to save space we'll just put a link to the recipe for Spicy Peanut Ginger Kale. Thanks Angela!

We are very proud to bring our farmer's foods to your family and we  always want to know what you think about what we do. Send us your recipes, pictures and stories and thank you for your support!
