Orders This Week
(Our Newsletter is a bit late this week, our Mama Hen started hatching her chicks yesterday and we had to get her new nest box set up! We'll have pics in the next Newsletter.) It's just a good thing we didn't hold our breath on the Certified USDA Organic Strawberries this week, we would have turned blue and passed out! We're putting our hopes back on for next week, if you had these on backorder we have noted your account and will replace them automatically as soon as we get them in! All else went well for harvests and deliveries though we received Sweet Potatoes instead of regular Potatoes and some Farmer's Pick order got Kale and others got Swiss Chard this week. Beautiful boxes though and definitely delicious eating!

Will and I had a ball at The Cook's Warehouse Midtown location Saturday for our Winter Greens class! We had three Members join us and another worked with us in the kitchen as a Cook's Warehouse assistant. This is a great opportunity Cook's offers: after taking a Knife Skills class you can register to assist with Cooking Classes and earn points toward taking more classes! For more info ask anyone at a Cook's Warehouse location or visit their website.
Also we have opened up the Spring Farm Day reservations! We have a great time meeting, greeting and eating here at Moore Farms with some Baby Chick petting and Farm Touring in the mix. This year we will have vegetable and flower plants, fresh produce, local pasture-raised meats and dairy as well as farm canned goodies for sale in a market tent. Great for ALL ages, you don't have to be a kid to have fun! (You can Register for our Spring Farm Day even when the rest of the Online Market is closed for ordering.)

Hot Sweet and Sour Broccoli
|
 We do enjoy a lot of stir-fry dishes here at the farm because they are so versatile: whatever veggies we have leftover at the end of the week goes in and the result is always satisfying. Here is a favorite new flavor combo we are enjoying with the Broccoli:
Wash, trim and chop Broccoli and Green Onions. Prepare Rice.
Prepare seasonings: 2T Fish Sauce; 2T Sweet Chili Sauce; 2t Red Curry Paste; 1t Garlic; 2T Rice Wine Vinegar.
Stir Fry Broccoli and Onions in 1T Oil until just tender-crunchy. Add seasonings and heat through, serve immediately with prepared rice.
(We usually add Tofu, Beef or Pork if we have it and other veggies are great in there, too!).

Community Box Program
| We are happy to offer an option for a short-term Farmer's Pick Community Box program. Here are the basics:
- What: $30 Farmer's Pick Box
- When: 10-week program, start anytime, Wednesdays/Thursdays for Atlanta, Fridays for Birmingham
- Where: We will deliver to your designated pickup site (community center or private home)
- How Many: Minimum 10 orders per group
Benefits: Pre-paid so no weekly Online Ordering; no Membership Fees (Community Box orders are not Online Market Members); Box contents will be the same as our Online Market $30 Farmer's Pick Boxes* so everyone can still use the Recipes and website info; Another option to a traditional CSA without the commitment of a full season (we can start when you are ready!).
