On another note we are looking for your RV story. Did anything exciting happen on your last trip that you want to share? Did that brown bear maul your food storage? Camping 101 - Camp tips that will save your $$

We really did it this time. We spoke with some of the brightest minds in the RV industry to come up with a set of camping tips that are sure to save you time effort and of course the precious dollar(s), which is rallying higher against the euro of late. Peruse the following tips and see if you can get a little more bang for the buck out of your next RV adventure.

Do an inventory of your RV - sheets, towels, dish washing, sundries and tools are all the basics in full supply and on board? Helps avoid having to buy from a convenience store or over paying at a destination location.

Maintenance - Make sure RV and Truck is tuned, fluids filled and tires inflated correctly. This will save you in gas spend.

Decide on a destination, look close to home -  Plus, if going to a campground have a backup plan in case reservation errors happen, side of the road camping is no fun and last min. camping spots might be at a premium charge.

Watch what you haul - Keep in mind the weight of your RV when bringing location specific items such as skis, snowmobiles, bikes etc. on  board A lightened load will save you in your fuel expenses. Don't haul it if you know you rarely use it

Charger for your phones or bring a prepaid calling card - pay phones can get expensive and having to buy a new charger well, ouch.

Discounts - Check online for camping spot discounts or free events where you are going (visitors centers are a good place to look & most are online)

Making the list - Make a list before you stock up at the grocery store this will help avoid impulse buying plus keep in mind most camp to get out to nature, we want to leave the softest of footprints if any right? Think about  packaged convince foods and the trash they create that you will have to carry out and canned products weight more plus bottled water how about a water filter pitcher instead.

Wally Mart - Best yet, search out before you leave if there is a Wal Mart or major grocery store close to your destination, and stock up there, traveling light saves fuel.

Weather Check - Check on line for the weather forecast. This can save you if bad weather is on the horizon and you get to your destination and have to turn around and go home.

Bring bikes - instead after parking your RV and driving everywhere put yourself to peddle power. Not only does it save planetary resources it's good for you.

Have your own how to save and camp tips we'd love to hear them.
Contest: Tip To Light up Your Life

Ok shh, between you & me, I found the coolest gadget that I could not resist because it is better than a peanut butter & banana sandwich and is really useful. What is it? AMelvis, taking care of the blue suede deals! little portable battery operated motion sensor blue led night light.  I want my friends to be safe at night if they have to get up and take care of business without having to turn on a bright light or find the switch. Nor do I want them to trip over anything on their way. This little thing is great for the home, RV, or whereever you need energy efficient night light.

This light can sense movement 25 ft away and 180 degrees from its front base and best yet you can point its telescoping bendable neck to shine the light any where your My Led Night Litewant. The battery life in this led light is one year plus. It also has three motion on settings, 5 seconds for quick glances, 5 min. (most popular) or just on till turned off.  Can you see how handy this light is not only for your RV but in your home too.

I am giving away 3 to my cool campers who want to participate in our contest this month. What do you have to do to win one? Simply go to : tell us your story. And send one or two paragraphs on one of the following subjects, (you can write more if you want), to us:
