On May 1st, the Council for Children's Rights absorbed the activities of POST (Partners in Out-of-School Time), furthering our goal to serve all the needs of Charlotte's children.
While POST will no longer exist as a separate organization, their great work will continue under the auspices of the Council.
We are so thankful to POST for raising awareness around the needs children have for safe learning and enrichment opportunities when they are not in school.

Sustaining Hope Amidst Tragedy

The Charlotte Observer published an editorial on May 2nd, highlighting the need for the work of one of our key programs. The Larry King Center engages the community in our mission through a variety of means: Public Awareness; Media Work; Community-Engaged Planning Efforts; Community Dialogue; and Engaging Leaders to Advocate for Children.
Observer Editors said that "Sadly, Ronald Martin's death shows that not every child can be saved. But every child deserves our best attempts to do so."
