Garden TimeCelebrate the opening of the second exhibition of the 2012 season - Garden Time: Objects Employing the Sun. A diverse display of sundials and armillary spheres will be placed thoughtfully among the Garden beds, curated by Natalie and Greg Randall of the acclaimed R.T. Facts in Kent, Connecticut. Join Natalie and Greg for a festive opening reception and exclusive tour!

Summer Garden Maintenance Clinic

Saturday, June 9
2 - 4 pm

As summer advances, the perennial border can lose it's lovely appearance. Learn how to keep the perennial border looking its best all season long by shaping perennials to produce more flowers, encourage new growth, stagger bloom times and discourage pests.

Jenna O'Brien of Viridissima, a garden design and maintenance business, will lead this lecture and hands-on workshop. Held in rain or shine.

Ferns for Inside and Out

Saturday, June 9
10am - noon

Learn about hardy and tender ferns for the New England landscape. Ferns have been fixtures in nature's design plan for millions of years, in temperate as well as tropical climates. Now they are finding their way into the garden setting, not just for shady corners but also to add architectural structure, color and texture to shade borders, containers and woodland gardens.

 

Join expert David Burdick, owner of Daffodils and More in Dalton, Massachusettes in this fascinating demo, lecture and fern sale!

Rachel and Adam Albright of Richmond welcome us into their backyard on June 15 - the first of three lovely summer evenings featuring beautiful private gardens in the Berkshires.

On July 20 we'll travel to the garden of Dr. Suzanne Yale of Stockbridge and on August 17 we'll continue on to Jane Iredale and Bob Montgomery of Great Barrington.

Art Crawl and Reception, June 9

The Berkshire Botanical Garden is proud to host BOTANOPHILIA, an exhibition presented by Sohn Fine Art, curated by Cassandra Sohn. In collaboration with BBG & Naumkeag, the exhibition will be on view through July 31.
