February is a great time to plan for the upcoming growing season - and we're here to help with an enviable selection of seed and plant catalogs, fine-tuned over years of sourcing, testing and growing.

Please join us for our first annual Seed-A-Thon. Get your questions answered, sip some tea and enjoy a little armchair gardening with a community of fellow growers.There is no charge, but please let us know you are coming by calling Jen Morse at 413-298-3926.

Strawberry Popcorn from Twilley Seeds, Hodges, SC, grown in our 2011 vegetable garden.
Description: 110 days. Small ears with tiny, dark strawberry-red kernels are dual purpose, for popping and ornamental use. 2-3" ears 1.5" across, lovely with husks attached and bunched for fall decoration. 
Plants average 6'.

Our Begonia Workshop is taught by horticulturist, writer and garden personality Tovah Martin. As curator of the begonia collection at Logee's Greenhouse for 25 years, she will share her love of begonias and take  you on a journey covering the entire begonia family.  

Bring hand pruners and a cardboard box to transport plants home. 

Materials included in the cost of the workshop.

 

Members: $37; Nonmembers $45

 

Meadows Turned Garden, taught by Drew Monthie, garden designer and ecologist, will provide information on how to create and maintain a meadow  including plant selection, siting, planting, cultivation and maintenance of native plants suitable for a meadow garden.

Members: $22; Nonmembers $27
