Our display gardens may be dormant, but the winter education program is in full swing at Berkshire Botanical Garden.

We take pride in offering a diverse education program spotlighting stimulating, pertinent gardening topics presented by talented instructors who are experts in their fields.

Programs range from two-hour weekend workshops to certificate programs that can cover a course of several years.

Beekeeping for Gardeners

The Secret Life of Bees

Take this lecture free of charge when you bundle it with Beekeeping for Gardeners, listed above.
Learn about the intricacies of bee life and communications within the hive to ensure a healthy and productive colony. A great lecture for both beginner and experienced beekeepers as well as naturalists. Taught by Heather Mattila, assistant professor of biology at Wellesley College. Click here to learn more.

Cheese Making Workshop

Saturday, February 4, 1-3pm

This demonstration/workshop/tasting will be held off-site at the Stockbridge Town Hall kitchen, located at 50 Main Street. Join Dominic Palumbo, owner of Moon in the Pond Farm, a NOFA certified organic farm in Sheffield, MA, who will provide an overview of the art of home cheese making complete with a tasting and tips.
