Make this the Year to
Change Your Mind
Is this the year you will expand your knowledge of horticulture and gardening?
You can change your mind at Berkshire Botanical Garden in many ways - through hands-on workshops, classes, lectures and our unique Horticulture Certificate Program.
Starting this Saturday, January 14, our line-up of classes begins with a lecture/discussion, Where's the Front Door? Students are invited to bring a photograph of their front yard, and several will be selected to illustrate common design challenges and simple solutions to reclaiming the front yard as a viable/functional space to be used by the family. Taught by award-winning landscape architect and artist David Dew Brunner, the program runs from 10am-1pm and is $37/members, $45/nonmembers.
Registration is now open for the Garden's Horticulture Certificate Program, with many opportunities to study under the region's finest instructors in the industry today.
Starting February 7, four weekly classes in Sustainable Landscape Care & Garden Maintenance will be taught by Brad Roeller of the New York Botanical Garden, covering topics including procedures for perennials, woody plants and lawns. The cost of the class is $145.
Other Horticulture Certificate Programs coming up include Plant Propagation with Adam Wheeler of Broken Arrow Nursery on four consecutive Mondays beginning February 6, and Organic Vegetable Gardening with John Howell, a former Extension Vegetble Specialist for the University of Massachusetts beginning on March 12. More information on the Garden's Horticulture Certificate Program is available on our website.
Make this year special - take a class or enroll in the Horticulture Certificate Program!
