The Future Meets the Past: Sustainable Garden Practices with Scott LaFleur

The Garden is humming with autumn classes and work-
shops. . .what a great time to take stock of your gardens and plan for the next growing season!

We are pleased to present Scott LaFleur, Director of Garden in the Woods November 12, 1-3 pm for a lecture, The Future Meets the Past: Sustainable Garden Practices
Learn applications in horticulture that have positive or neutral ecological impact - methods that can be sustained over the long term with the least possible alteration of the existing community of plants, animals, fungi and microbes. Ecological gardening is a way to work with nature, not against it, and sustainable practices are those which work in an ecologically sound manner.  Scott LaFleur presents a rich, lively and informative facet of sustainable practices that you  can put together to achieve a closed system.
Class fee: $35.

A Special gift to students of this class:
Conserving Our Native Pollinators
with Professor Joan Edwards from Williams College

Learn about the science behind native pollinators and discover ways to encourage these important members of the healthy ecological system.  Free to students taking Scott Lefleur's class offered the same day, or available as an individual class for $18.
