IT'S NOT EVEN SUMMER YET!

As we'd hoped, May was a really fantastic month. The tournament schedule is in full swing now and the Club Opening Scramble, which took place on the long weekend in May was a fantastic event. The weather could not have been better.

This month only, take advantage of our Pro Shop Special - 25% off all in-stock golf bags from some great brands. And on the course, our popular "2 Can Play For $50" deal is back. With this coupon, it's an inexpensive way to entertain guests for an afternoon.

Just a reminder to take advantage of the London Golf Trailpackage. This benefit extends your standard benefits of membership at our course to over 20 courses throughout Southwestern Ontario. Be sure to check out the impressive list of courses included on the Trail.

Lots of great golf ahead. Look forward to seeing you out on the course. Have a great month!

courseCourse Update from Fred

What a great start to the golfing season. Hopefully everyone is getting out and enjoying the nice weather.

We sure did not get the May showers!! The wells we have drilled have been a lifesaver. As we all know we cannot pump out of the river if the flow was not going over the dam and it hasn't done that too often this spring, so all of our water has come from our wells. This is our intention from now on. All grounds maintenance water will come from the wells and we will not be drawing from the river anymore. The wells provide us with a reliable steady source of water.

There are no major construction plans for the golf course at the moment. The only undertaking is the expansion of the drop zone tee on #17. Who would have thought that after a month of play that there would be no grass left on that tee. I guess the new water hazard is seeing a lot of balls!

I have been asked many times why we trimmed the trees up along #14. Short answer is, we didn't. Those trees and property belong to the town and they were the ones who trimmed them. Over time they'll fill back in and it will nicely block our view of the dump once again.

On a final note we have noticed that after we rake the bunkers, by the end of the day they are full of foot prints. Just a reminder to please rake the bunker after you hit out of them. I'm sure none of us like to hit out of foot prints. Please follow this link for instruction on how to properly rake a bunker.

Lets hope the great weather continues for the rest of the summer.

Thanks
