Just In Time Prayer
 Volume #7 - February 2012
Greetings!

It's 'getting busy' time at Share the Savior.  This Friday, we'll be presenting a workshop at a local conference, we're looking for ways to implement our new mission statement, and we've just launched an outreach ministry that we hope God will bless.  Sounds like it's past time for prayer.  We're thankful you're there for us to share these needs with.

Sincerely in Christ,
Scott

Share the Savior:
Someone You Love Needs Him

Prayer Requests

1.  Help preparing and presenting at BASS

I'm in the final stages of preparation for a talk this Friday at the Bay Area Sunday School (BASS) Convention.  I need wisdom and stamina to finish preparing and clarity, enthusiasm, and accurate theology when I lead the workshop Friday morning.  My wife will be helping me and is experiencing severe pain in her knee.  Please ask God to provide what she will need, even if it's someone to take her place as my assistant at the conference.

2.  Resources for West County Safe Harbor

The West County Safe Harbor is a meeting place for people to explore, question, evaluate, and experience the Christian faith, especially those who have had someone or something create a roadblock in their investigation of faith.  Money may be necessary to rent suitable space and the right venue needs to be identified too.  More importantly, I feel a strong need to have a deepening desire and capability to love those God sends our way.

Learn more about the West County Safe Harbor if it will help you pray.

3.  More opportunities to implement our new mission statement

Here's the three areas I believe God has given Share the Savior as its mission.
  1. Coaching Christians toward more effective and attractive evangelistic efforts, grounded in a growing manifestation of love for their neighbor.
  2. Promoting Christianity by offering people a safe place to explore, question, evaluate, and experience the Christian faith.
  3. Communicating the message of reconciliation, at appropriate times and places, in the love of God and in the power of the Holy Spirit.

God has already blessed us in this area.  We just finished a four week training at a church in Richmond, CA (#1 - Coaching Christians), we were selected to teach at BASS (#1 again), and West County Safe Harbor (#2 - Promoting Christianity) became a reality within 2 weeks of adopting our new mission statement.

As I was sitting down to work on the final preparations for the BASS Convention, I sensed the need to send you a prayer letter.  Then, almost instantly, I dismissed the idea because I really needed the time to prepare for Friday's workshop.  God wouldn't let me ignore my real need however, which was yielding my will to His.

One of these day perhaps, I won't need His 'gentle' encouragement to seek His power and strength through personal prayer and the petitions of others.  Until then, I'm glad He still speaks to me, and I'm thrilled to have you partner with me in this prayer effort.  Let the praying begin!

Yours in Christ,
