Church in a Search
Prayer Team Update
February 10, 2011
Greetings!

I've got another opportunity for us to get down on our knees.  How exciting that in only our first month 'on the job' we've had four different churches to be praying for.  Our newest one is in Wichita, KS.  Plus there's some news from one of our first three searching churches; the one in Seattle.

This is a good work you've undertaken.  I can't imagine any church you're praying for not being moved when they hear about the love of the body manifested in this way.  Pray On!

Yours in Christ,
Scott McIntyre

P.S.  I'm going to start including links to the church website when possible, sort of like putting a face to a name.  Let me know if you think of any other ideas to improve what we're doing.

Seattle, WA - Pastor of Outreach and Local Mission

Less than three weeks into our prayer initiative and already things to report.  One of our first three churches in search, has either filled the position or canceled the posting of the ad for some other reason.  I wasn't able to make contact with them to confirm why the posting was canceled so as you feel led, I think it's ok to shift our prayers to the other two searching churches; Isle of Faith UMC in Jacksonville, FL and Christ Community Church in Saint Charles, IL.

Asbury Church in Wichita, KS just came on our radar today.  I've already contacted them to let them know we will begin praying for the right person, and received the reply below a little while ago.  It was an encouragement to me, and I hope to you as well.

"Scott, I appreciate the heart of your ministry and welcome your prayers for us.  This is a brand new position for us and it is important that we hear from the Lord regarding it. Blessings!"
