Greetings!
As we plunge into one of the most spiritually meaningful seasons of the year for Christians, our goal for this newsletter remains the same; to equip you to be more effective sharing your faith.
Like excited parents on Christmas eve, we're wrapping some of our favorite articles from previous issues of the Eleven Twelve Project, and placing them under the tree for you.
As you tear into the packages, may God, through His gifts of mercy and love, enable you to become even more adept at explaining the true meaning of the holiday to the people you know and those you meet, who haven't experienced the Greatest Christmas Presence Ever...Jesus!
Sincerely,
Scott McIntyre Share the Savior: Someone You Love Needs Him |

Heaven: Like a Vacation only Better
I thought of 10 reasons why heaven for a Christian is like a great vacation for a weary worker. See what you think.
- It's something to joyfully anticipate.
- You can get to a point where you know for sure you're going.
- When you reach that point, it makes the anticipation greater.
- We expect life to be better when we're there.
- We're not disappointed when we go.
- The expectation of something better helps us forget today's problems.
- The greater the expectation, the longer we can go in our current situation.
- It gives us something exciting to share with others.
- Some people who hear about it will want to make the trip themselves.
- We can help them get to the same destination.
Just as our friends may sense our excitement about a long awaited vacation, our anticipation of a future in Christ might begin to seep out where they can see it. And then it's only natural to share what we're excited about.
May our joy and hope in the blessings of God through Christ, make us exciting to be around.

Ministry Partner | Partners on Parade
We couldn't think which of our Ministry Partners qualified as our 'best' so we've decided to highlight all of them like we first did in July, 2008.
- Church Sports International - Utilizes sports to empower churches to carry out the God-given tasks of worship, evangelization, and edification of the body of Christ
- Forgiveness Ministries - Helps people practice biblical forgiveness, making them better able to reach others with Christ's love.
- International Students, Inc. - Uses friendship to help meet the needs of international students in our culture, including introducing those interested to the gospel.
- OnMission.com - Provides articles (online and in print) to help you share Christ with those you love.
- Stand for Truth Ministries - Equips believers to stand for the truth of the historic Christian faith, grow more intimate in their relationship with God, and lovingly and biblically engage the culture for Christ.
We encourage you to visit their websites, read more about them, and consider how they could assist you or your church in the work of evangelism.

It's Time for Your Review
Here's a simple way to practice sharing your faith, and learn how to be more effective at the same time. It will help you minimize Christianese (expressions spoken and understood only by other Christians) in your spiritual conversations.
- Scribe It: Write a presentation of the gospel or your personal testimony of becoming a Christian.
- Share It: Give it to a Christian or non-Christian, and ask them to review it. A Christian should mark any words or phrases that could be misunderstood by an unbeliever. The non-Christian simply marks what isn't clear to them.
- Swallow It: When you receive their review, you may be able to skip this step, but if your pride is getting in the way of accepting what the reviewer has to say, swallow it.
- Simplify It: Rewrite the areas that need help, trying to replace the potentially confusing sections with common words and phrases, that are clear and concise.
- Share It (again): Repeat steps 2-4 until the reviewer finds nothing unclear.
If you want some help with this exercise, we have links to online articles and glossaries of Christianese on our website.

Equipping Events |
A Preview of 2011
Just like it was too hard to pick only one Ministry Partner to share this month, we didn't want to leave off any of the equipping events we've become aware of. Some are specifically oriented toward evangelism (marked 'OE') while others are more general conferences that include an Evangelism Track (ET).
We hope you'll consider checking them out and see which might be able to help you or your church become more effective in sharing your faith.
February: On Target Evangelism Conference - OE March: BASS Church Workers Convention - ET April: GLASS Convention - ET November: National Outreach Convention - OE December: Westpoint of Evangelism - OE (Although we do not have confirmation of dates for 2011, we wanted to include a link for this years conference anyway) As we receive updated information on these conferences or hear of new ones, we'll post them on the Events page of Share the Savior.

A Final Word |
As the shopping days keep slipping away, and you give thought to what your family and friends would like, remember that the best gift they could ever receive is nothing you can put under their tree. There's nothing you could purchase that would be better than Jesus. He's not only the reason for the season, he's the best Christmas Presence ever!
If you know someone who might be ready to read about the real meaning of Christmas, our special seasonal story, The Best Christmas Presence Ever, will be online until January 1st.
May the Presence that is yours already, continue to be your most treasured gift, and one God enables you to share more effectively with those you love who need Him.
May you have a merry and joyous Christmas!

Not with Our God
Can you imagine having a conversation with someone and being ridiculed or ignored? That won't happen the next time you go to the throne room of grace.
And while you're there, we wouldn't mind it a bit if you talked to him about us. We are always in need of His limitless grace! |
