Greetings!
Do you have a growing trust in God's ability to save anyone? I can tell you from experience, it is a precious gift, and one that comes only from the Father.
We may realize that no one can be outside the reach of an all powerful God, but sometimes, when it's a loved one who won't accept the message of salvation, we can lose hope.
As you read the articles in this issue, filter them through this reality; God is unable to fail in His efforts to save.
Sincerely,
Scott McIntyre

Helping Friends Past Spiritual Roadblocks
What if your friend seems to have come to a roadblock on their spiritual journey? They may tell you they don't want to continue discussing your faith, or even get angry when you attempt to mention anything about Jesus.
What can you say or do, when they tell you something like, "the Bible doesn't make sense to me"? Don't give up, because you might be surprised at some of the options you have.
Some Strategic Options
Recognize the power of God - Your friend's resistance can't possibly be greater than God's ability to draw them toward salvation.
Respond by listening - Listen with compassion to their concerns and don't feel obligated to provide an answer; God may reply using someone else.
Recommit your friendship - Let them know that regardless of what they choose to believe, it won't change the bond of friendship you share.
Recall similar doubts - We don't have to present a picture perfect Christianity. If you struggled (or are struggling) with the same roadblock, don't be afraid to tell them. Rest in God's ability to save - Is your friend a better candidate for hell than this man? If not, then God can certainly save your friend. A Final WordYour friend is stubborn in their refusal to accept the message you're sharing, even after you've tried some of our strategic options. Don't despair!
Remember, it's not our responsibility to make them accept. God only wants us to live out the characteristics of love in our relationship with them. He is the only One who is able to draw them toward His Son and convict them of their need for the Savior. Sometimes He gives us the privilege of being part of that miracle, and that should be enough encouragement for us! |

Church Sports International - CSI
Do you know anyone who doesn't watch, read about, or participate in sports? Probably not, because according to Rodger Oswald, who founded CSI, 98% of Americans do so at least once a month.
That means nearly 100% of the people you want to reach for Christ, have an interest in sports. CSI wants to help you and your church have a spiritual influence on them for the Savior.
What CSI Can Do for You
Wouldn't it be great if the sports equipment you used, could be a tool for starting a spiritual conversation? It can be with CSI's line of Higher Power Equipment. Whether your favorite sport is baseball, basketball, soccer, golf or volleyball, their unique equipment is bound to raise questions.
And once the questions are raised, CSI has the tools to help you explain the gospel using their sports equipment as a visual representation of the good news.
What CSI Can Do for Your Church
How many people attend your church...50, 100? If CSI is right, no more than 2 of them are not involved in sports at some level. More importantly, the same statistic holds true for the community your church wants to impact. This shared interest can be a means to:
- Create a bridge to the lost in the community
- Form friendships and build relationships
- Facilitate life-style and relational evangelism
- Build 'stepping stones' from sports to worship
And that's not all that a sports program can do for your church. Check out these other benefits!
One of the primary reasons CSI exists is to help churches like yours, develop an effective program to reach those in your community who may otherwise never step inside your church. Maybe it's time to...

When our friends have questions, they want to hear real answers from someone they trust. Sometimes they may just need us to listen. We should always be patient with them, even if we see them moving away from Christ. That's what love looks like!
As you continue to show love to your neighbor, you'll probably gain opportunities to share the Savior.
Sincerely,
Scott McIntyre
