Prayer Partner Newsletter
Special Edition - 2/23/09
Greetings!

This will be short, and without choice, last minute.  I will be having eye surgery tomorrow evening, and would appreciate your prayers.

Yesterday, I began experiencing some vision problems, and today when I left for work, noticed that my peripheral vision was affected.  I returned home, an appointment at an eye clinic was made, and by 2:00 pm an Eye Surgeon was telling me I had a detached retina.  He suggested surgery, and thought it should be performed tomorrow.  He also informed my wife and I, that recovery would be at least 2-4 weeks, and could be up to two months.  That means my employer will be placing me on a disability leave immediately.

God has been busy during the last 24 hours of my life, and I ask you to join me in praising Him.  He gave me the wisdom to turn around, and go home this morning.  I could have easily been in an accident, or caused one, if I'd tried to drive all the way to work.  He enabled me to get critical work done over the weekend for my employer, which will make being away from work much easier for the rest of the staff.

He also helped me complete several ministry responsibilities, such as the Prayer Partner Newsletter you received earlier today, and our next evangelism newsletter.  And I'm able to ask you for more prayers tonight, because the surgery didn't have to be performed today.

I will try and update you about the surgery prior to the next Prayer Partner Newsletter, and thank you ahead of time for your prayers on our behalf.

Sincerely in Christ,
Scott
