Greetings!
Take heart about the salvation of those you love!
On the road to Damascus, while on a 'seek and destroy' mission against Christians, Saul was confronted by Christ. In a moment of time, with the very same power that God used to raise Christ from the dead, Saul was changed from an enemy of God to a follower of Jesus.
That same power exists in the gospel message today and therefore, God is still able to save, even if the person you care for is tougher than Saul!
Sincerely,
Scott McIntyre

'IF' - A BIG Word in Evangelism (Part 3)
Rather than argue with someone who is without saving faith in Christ, calmly help them understand the ramifications, IF the verses being discussed are true. Then be willing to demonstrate, with gentleness and respect, a commitment to friendship, regardless of what they say, think or do when confronted with the implications of this potential truth claim. That's a summary of the first three principals of the IF Strategy, which you can read more about in Issue #8 and #9 of our newsletter. Here's the fourth, and most important one, God Closes the Deal!
The difficult work of evangelism is God's. Unless He first motivates an individual to seek Him, no seeking will take place. And even after an interest begins to grow, until the active ingredient of the Spirit's convicting work has run its course, there will be no true salvation; the deal won't be closed.
Knowing this, we don't have to 'win' a spiritual discussion, in order to see someone come to salvation. In reality, the discussion that leads to saving faith, is being carried out between our Father and our friend or loved one.
Thankfully, our evangelism efforts are no more than a tool in the hands of God; tools that he uses during His good work of drawing the lost toward His Son, and convicting them of their need for a Savior. We are not the harvester, just a privileged implement in His hands. |

How Can I Break the Silence?
You know what it's like. You want to say something about Christ or your faith, but you hesitate, and then the opportunity is gone. Or perhaps, you share pretty regularly but desire to tell the story more.
How Can I Break the Silence, is a resource from Discovery House Publications, that may be able to help. You can view it online, download it to your computer, or order copies in print.
Here's some of what you'll find in this short booklet...
- The Sound Barriers - Things that keep us quiet
- The Acts Strategy - A three part plan from Acts
- Four Ways to Explain the Gospel
After you've learned how to break the silence more often, visit Discovery House again and check out some of their other titles that focus on salvation, because someone you love, needs Jesus! |

Stand for Truth
How can an organization equip believers to stand for the truth of the historic Christian faith, grow more intimate in their relationship with God, and lovingly and biblically engage the culture for Christ?
If the ministry is Stand for Truth, one of the ways they work toward that goal is through articles they've posted on their website.
You may not find these to be light reading; they can be in depth and intellectually challenging. You might, however, gain a deeper understanding of God or Christianity, and be able to help someone, who is confused about our faith, move in the direction of Christ. And that might make a trip to their site worthwhile. |

Thanks for receiving The Eleven Twelve Project. We hope and pray God will use it, and other tools, to help you share the Savior with those who need Him.
As you continue giving your time to the pursuit of greater evangelistic effectiveness, here's something we want you to remember. We have God's Word that no one is beyond His reach. Not Saul, and not your closest friend or dearest loved one.
May we all rest in the knowledge of a Savior who hasn't lost His ability to save!
Sincerely,
Scott McIntyre
