the insider story of my personal metamorphosis
When I look back on my New Year's declaration to "allow the inner guiding wisdom of each moment to guide me," (instead of imposing my will/desire/personal agenda on each moment) I had no idea what this bold pronouncement meant; it simply came out of my mouth. In retrospect, it was indeed prophetic. This year has been a year of great silence, introspection, deep healing, tuning into the true desires of my heart, and taking only inspired action.
What did that look like in my everyday life?
The results? A calm, loving BEing ready to make my unique contribution to humanity's evolution. Micro/macro, you know? We have to BE the changes within ourselves (micro)--to personally know true freedom--before we can even hope to support and serve others (macro). What we heal (micro), energetically reverberates as a magnetizing vibration for others to heal more easily and quickly (macro). that you are free to be that which you are, totally free to be the divine holy extension of the one Creator, totally and completely free to be, just to be, then all of the shackles of the world fall off. They have to. No longer do you need certain pieces to fall into place to make you happy. No longer do you need a relationship, [career, project or experience] that is perfect to make you happy... You are totally and completely free in the power of the Now, the power of the moment, to know that you are free; totally free." ~ Jeshua Ben David In that freedom-of-being, I give myself permission to tell you that the original intent of this weekly newsletter has served its full purpose; it is complete. It too, shall morph into the fullness of a new and ever-unfolding becoming; whatever that means. Time will tell. Honestly, I see no particular structure. What DO I know? I am here to serve humanity during these evolutionary times. And that requires me to be highly attuned to the messages that are vital to deliver NOW. These are timely messages that touch your heart because they are meant JUST for you, JUST for now. That misson/purpose cannot be held in an arbitrary delivery day, date or time (say Thursdays at 10 AM Pacific... how mundane is that?!), or surely we will all miss the point of this experience! The point is to be IN THE MOMENT in all moments. You see how important adaptation is during these times. So, what does this mean regarding this publication? In part, it means the format of this delivery will change. I feel it's more important to connect on a more frequent basis with smaller "bites." What's the frequency? Hmmmm... Time is a funny thing, you know? Some say it is an illusion. Some say that time and space are "bending" in response to the current evolutionary shift. The Magic of Metamorphosis
By what kind of magic is a caterpillar transformed into a butterfly? Natural magic, of course; nature simply acting in alignment with its encoded caterpillar nature.
This very same magic is what transforms us by our divine human nature. But before we explore the process of personal transformation, let's take a closer look at the caterpillar-to-butterfly metamorphosis: Building the Cocoon 1. A caterpillar, when it is fully grown, secretes a long stream of liquid from its glands, called the spinneret, located below its mouth. The liquid stiffens, forming a silk-like thread which is used to attach its hind end to a twig or leaf. The caterpillar spins the silky thread around its body to form a covering. This outside layer hardens to form a shell called a chrysalis. The Transformation Process 2. Inside the cocoon the caterpillar changes into a pupa. In a process called histolysis, the caterpillar digests itself from the inside out, causing its body to die. During this partial death, some of the caterpillar's old tissues are salvaged to form new. This remnant of cells are called the histoblasts and are used to create a new body. Using its digestive juices, the caterpillar turns his old larval body into food which he uses to rebuild its new body. Breaking Out of the Shell 3. Once the pupa has fully grown inside the cocoon, and the butterfly is ready to emerge, the insect releases a fluid which softens the shell. The butterfly pushes on the walls of the shell until it breaks open. The process of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly can take anywhere from 10 days to several months What can we learn from this incredible transformation? How can we apply these lessons to our lives? There are three prominent aspects to any transformation; those elements that make the process as easy as possible:
If this sounds like work, it really isn't. You see, we are born prepared for this life. We are fully-equipped. The beautiful process of transformation can be full of ease when we relax into the guidance that comes from within. When we trust that, we will know exactly what to do in every moment. We can count on it absolutely and then find ourselves responding with the next perfect action to propel the process. We didn't come here to stagnate. Instead, we came for the fun of it; for the joy of it; for the expansion of it; for the growth of it; for the contrast in it; for the desire-producing value in it. Just like the caterpillar, who responds to life's beckoning to evolve and become more--and does its part to bring about the natural and inevitable outcome--so, too, are you beckoned to become. How will you respond? (Therein lies the magic!) |
