Inspiration from my heart to yours![]()
No doubt you're seeing more and more examples
of the new paradigm shift.
For those who are conscious, both individually and collectively we are coming into our own in bold and dynamic ways. Every day I see examples of the new direction our world is headed. From politics to the impact on our economy, from health and beauty to concern for the earth, these are very interesting times. For the first time in my 45 years, I'm truly aligned with my purpose for being. What lies ahead is the true reason I was born. In the words of Joan of Arc, "I am not afraid. I was born for this." I hear the same from many of you. Everything is coming into crystal-clarity as each day passes. Every moment until now has led purposefully to these current moments and we've never felt more alive. There are no models or mentors for us and that's the whole point! it is we who carve the way for others to follow, should they choose We are in the process of creating and laying the foundation for our future. We are being prompted and assisted as never before and must step into our highest selves to bring forth a new message. This new message is one of great hope. What may seem to be the world falling apart around us is the falling away of what no longer works or fits. Whether it has served us well is a matter of opinion. Regardless, it served to deliver us to the here-and-now. What falls away must be replaced with something else, for a vacuum anywhere in the Universe is not left vacant very long. If you understand the "vacuum effect," space or room must be created first, for something that's a much better fit to fill that void. In my experience, a willing readiness is the key. By no means am I saying that this is easy, at least at first. Every cell in your body will scream, "NO!" It seems odd and unnatural to have enough clarity (or a sense) to clear out the old and create space without knowing exactly what you're creating space for, and yet in my experience it is the only thing that gives you a sense of active participation; of ownership in the process that often feels like we're acting on blind impulse. The alternative is to be dragged along by destiny, fate, victimhood, the great nothingness, or God's will (based on your belief system) and find yourself relinquishing to the process at a later point anyway. So why wait? Embrace change now and actively direct the direction of your future; our future. It's an exciting time. --either consciously or subconsciously-- you chose to be an integral part of this global shape-shifting experience We each have an important role to play, with no role more or less vital than any other. We are known by many names: trendsetters, lightworkers, LOHAS, waymakers, visionaries, pioneers, explorers, trailblazers, innovators, groundbreakers, founders, conscious creators or co-creators, etc. The name is inconsequential. The spirit we bring to everything we do is unmistakable. We are recognized by the vibration of calm and clarity. People are naturally drawn to what they instinctively need most. And the masses are desperate to feel even a little better. As lightworkers, this is where our service to humankind comes in. Those who exude confidence, kindness and love during this time of transition--between the old and new paradigms--have been endowed with a great responsibility... one of the highest callings in service to others. We work in absolute, unshakable certainty, bringing comfort to those who are fraught with fear. When others are consumed with the perception that there's no hope, often our mere presence provides a much-needed glimmer of renewed trust that on the grand scale everything is really okay. We'll be alright. In case you are inclined right about now to make assumptions that I proclaim this to be easy, I assure you that is not my position, nor has it been my experience. I'm simply saying that when you have choices to wait or to act now, always act now based on the information at your disposal. Lightworkers and conscious entrepreneurs need not focus on tasking, but on simply being. Within the seeming lack of solid foundation or "security," lies infinite possibility. That's where we are now. On the precipice of nothing we've ever seen, known, or experienced. like the Velveteen Rabbit. I can think of no better way to use myself up. ~Elia Wise My best advice to you is to use yourself up, completely, in this joint effort to consciously and actively creating what's next. What shows up will not be the result of anything fated; it will be of our own creation, so do it consciously and fiercely, with direction, integrity and purpose. Give your best and all you can; for what or when would you be saving it? The moment is now. |

The "Three C" Business Trends for 2011![]()
These trends aren't exactly new, but every week I see innovative variations applied to the framework of business. It's exciting to see how creative entrepreneurs are integrating these three guiding principles into the everyday lives of their businesses and experiencing results that benefit everyone involved.
The "Three C" business trends are: 1. Community 2. Collaboration 3. Cooperation Let's examine them one-by-one to explore the possibilities. 1. Community Old paradigm | Interactions limited to those contacts within geographic proximity New paradigm | Facebook, Twitter, YouTube... and the list goes on! Online communities with highly interactive features are now basic business. Ongoing interaction and frequent, but quick daily hellos create incredible bonds of support with people around the globe. This method of friendly interaction--and a form of accountability, if it's structured properly--often creates connections stronger than those established via traditional methods. Even two years ago, this phenomenon didn't exist; at least to this extent. It makes one wonder what another two years will bring. My best advice? Be as much of a contributor as beneficiary. The old adage applies: You get out of something as much as you put in. 2. Collaboration Old paradigm | Competition New paradigm | Collaboration Let's finally free ourselves from limiting beliefs that anyone who is in our same field is a competitor. There's enough for all of us. Besides, no one can do what you do like you! And you cannot do things like your fellow entrepreneurs. Carry yourself with this confidence and stand strong in this knowledge. It makes so much more sense to pair your strengths with those of others in the spirit of cooperation (see "Cooperation" below). At a minimum, this provides double the exposure and double the possibilities; probably much more. Plus, isn't that infinitely better than doing everything yourself? Continued adherence to the philosophy of competitiveness will only result in less and less effectiveness. Adoption and incorporation of collaborative concepts will certainly propel you forward... in business and in life. 3. Cooperation Old paradigm | Exclusive, selective and often exclusionary New paradigm | All-encompassing and inclusionary Different from collaboration, cooperation is the general spirit in which we go about conducting the business of our lives. We don't necessarily pair our energies with others (see "Collaboration" above), but instead serve--in some capacity--everyone who crosses our path. Cooperation is assistance or ready compliance with requests; at a minimum it is a cordial and timely response. Taken to the extreme, of course, we cannot be available or accessible to everyone. If we were, we wouldn't be smart business owners. Imagine if you personally took every telephone call and answered every email. Horrors! You'd never have time for anything else! Emphasis on the third "C" highlights an attitude of willingness to enter into balanced and cooperative exchanges wherein both parties benefit. It puts the benefit of the person in front of you as high as your own interest. It shows up as timely responses to inquiries. It is a willingness to respond with something even if it means a referral to a trusted vendor, mentor or fellow collaborator. Your products and services are not a best fit for every potential client, but you may know where to send them next. This information, provided in a timely and friendly fashion, is the foundation of a cooperative relationship. Instead of ignoring a request or saying, "I cannot help you," as time and energy allow, provide a Web link, contact name, or other resource your prospect may not know about. All people need is the next step. Do what you can with what you know. Share as much as possible. This commitment to cooperation has many benefits; one of the most prominent is it reveals your willingness to be of assistance even when it may not directly benefit you. People take notice of this and, more importantly, remember your kindness. A built-in benefit? This approach often later translates into solid referrals and sales. There they are... the "Three C" Business Trends for 2011. Practice them. Incorporate them. Fully assimilate them so there is no noticeable seam between your words and your actions. They make the road easier to living the new paradigm and places you in the prominent position of strong leader and innovative entrepreneur... and one to watch--and follow--for further trend-setting developments. |

Have you considered allowing your moments to guide you with their innate brilliance and wisdom?![]()
Happy 2011 to you!
The beginning of every year brings much talk of resolutions. Whether you intend to change your eating habits, challenge yourself with daring activities like skydiving, or attract a love interest, this seems to be the perfect time to assess the previous year and make any desired changes moving forward. Not one to follow the trends of the masses, I decided I wanted something different for myself for 2011; a brand new way of living by incorporating one, tiny shift in my approach. Here it is: and yet we are so busy imposing our own will, that the beauty contained within cannot reveal itself. In 2011 I am allowing my moments to guide me, from which I will take my inspiration and set a course of action. This epiphany was inspired by this quotation: Try to see what lives in a moment before you put anything there. ~Elia Wise, author of Letter to Earth Celebrating You In Sisterhood, Light & Love, ![]() |
