Discovering your life purpose is purposeful
Empowerment comes in many forms. It impacts
our personal and business lives to the point
of overflowing. That outward flow manifests
in the world as service to others.
We each have a gift; one prominent theme woven throughout every aspect of our lives. Undoubtedly, my life gift is empowering others. It is effortless and easy; something I don't have to think about. It just is. With every word, thought and action, empowerment happens. Somehow, as if by magic, people get the best from me because of an often unspoken, soulful exchange; I do my purpose and they are more empowered. So, what's the point? It is empowering to live your purpose, to know exactly why you're on earth, to share your clarity. The reason for you being is to come to know your purpose so wholly, so intimately, that it is unmistakable; to you and everyone you meet. And then? Knowing your purpose leads to living your purpose and becoming even more clear on how that manifests to enhance and enrich the lives of others. Without clarity-of-purpose, your words, thoughts and actions are erratic and frustrating. You feel 'at a loss' trying this and that and nothing seems to just flow. You try hitting one target after another and yet the satisfaction is fleeting. So, how do you find your purpose? Honestly, there's no easy way. I wish I could give you a reliable 1, 2, 3 bulleted list, but then I would be robbing you of the exploration, which is a fun and rewarding facet of life. For me, it happened quite serendipitously. A friend asked a simple question: 'What is the common theme in everything you do, Charlon?' Without hesitation I said, 'Empowering others.' From that moment, I was conscious of my motivations and actions. I could steer them purposely instead of randomly. I could use them strategically and be so aware of my intent that people actually aligned with benefitting from my purpose and came to me with their own certain clarity of purpose without necessarily knowing what would transpire between us. If you don't know your purpose, start by asking yourself: What is the common theme in everything I do? Your purpose may not be clear in the first moment, but as you further explore this question, the answer(s) will surface. Allow the process. Engage it. Entertain it. Be patient. And expect an answer. Life will reveal your purpose. Be aware and watch carefully for what unfolds in front of you in direct Universal response to your desire to know. The Universe has a way of responding to us in ways that are unexpected and subtle. They can be subjective or hard to interpret at first. The more you practice this exercise, the easier it is to read the signs. It's important to leave people's lives better than when we found them. Be memorable, in a positive way. Being clear on your purpose and acting consciously from this space maximizes our innate desire to serve others and do it with optimum efficiency because of our ultra-awareness. May you be blessed with the joy that comes in knowing your unique purpose in life. |
