Use Your Voice To Make Money![]()
No, I'm not talking about voice talent or
literally using your voice. I am talking
about the essence of you shining through
every method you use to communicate to your
target market.
You've heard of the "Know, Like and Trust Factor," right? Simply, it's that customers and clients will purchase from you after they get to know, like and trust you. The best way to establish longterm relationships in business is to find -- and effectively use -- your own voice. Most of us work, and therefore communicate, virtually. Your marketing materials should not only contain high-impact copy, but should be in your own "voice." People will get to know you, like you and purchase from you because ultimately they trust and resonate with you. How do you find and maintain your voice? 1. Be the most authentic version of you, always 2. Adopt only business approaches that are a best fit for you 3. Practice, practice, practice So, how do you make money with your voice? 1. Continue list-building 2. Agree to be a guest on teleseminars 3. Be creative 4. Develop genuine offers to be of service instead of trying to "sell" products or services 5. Collaborate with fellow conscious entrepreneurs 6. Set up affiliates only with those business owners whose products and services you wholeheartedly endorse 7. Hire a professional copywriter who can adopt your voice and write in your style, relieving you from these time-consuming tasks - this isn't as complicated as it sounds! With only a bit of creativity you CAN make money with your unique voice. |

Where does the liability lie for proof-perfect copy when you hire a copywriter?![]()
It might surprise you to hear the answer.
The Answer: The liability is YOURS! WHY? Because a copywriter is not an editor. Copyediting is a completely different function than copywriting. If you read your copywriting contract or agreement carefully, you'll see a clause specifically addressing this point. It says something like, "It is the client's ultimate responsibility to proof the project in its entirety to ensure there are no errors." Some copywriters offer copyediting services at an additional charge, but they usually don't perform this function themselves. It's outsourced to a professional copyeditor. If you don't have someone on-staff who can provide comprehensive editing services and want "plug-and-play" copy that's perfect when you receive it, hire a copywriter who offers this service even if you have to pay more. Your reputation is well worth the investment. |

Think first and respond with love
![]() As you already know, words are powerful and impactful. I've tried a little test in my everyday life and I'd like to share it with you. The next time you feel like you're about to explode in anger, frustration or the 100+ other emotions behind blowing off steam, STOP. Take a minute to get yourself together and say just the opposite. Find SOMETHING, ANYTHING to praise and do just that. Instead of yelling at the kids for making too much noise as you try to finish your newsletter (due last week), with a heart full of genuine gratitude, yell into the room, "I love your enthusiasm! You are full of life!" Or when the frustration of your spouse or employees gets to be too much, consciously choose something positive and give it voice; "I want to acknowledge ___________ (your hard work, your ability to focus, all the things you do do help me succeed, you making dinner, etc.). The only rule is that your sentiment must be genuine. It doesn't count if it's manufactured! Do the hard thing! It's too easy to be and express frustration. Go beyond your initial impulse. Be constructive and inspiring to others. That leaves a positive, loving, lasting impression. Isn't that better than leaving a trail of damage and woundedness? YES! But, admittedly it requires a mind-shift and effort on your part. In Sisterhood, Light & Love, ![]()
