Life-enhancing Dynamics of a Tribe
Call it a tribe. Call it a family. Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one. Jane Howard The past week I've been in the company of my tribe. Highlights of the trip include early morning departures, midnight yoga sessions with more laughter than yoga, daily intake of Starbuck's coffee, wine and time in the hot tub, a 17-hour video shoot, meals at all hours of the day and night, and the impact of very little sleep. Although our initial connection related to business development, we have become a close group that now shares the intimacy of our personal lives, as well. Let's talk about the weather
It seems everyone is talking about unusual
weather patterns. I experienced it myself
yesterday during a Summer Solstice
celebration.
I was at a local beach and watched the most incredible dark, clouds form and swirl above. Then came the lightning and thunder. Wow, what a show! Whether or not this was at all linked to our ritual, I have no idea, but it was spectacular none-the-less. It continued for another hour. I was in bliss as I watched lightning strike in a panoramic view over the ocean. There's no doubt weather is changing worldwide. What does it mean? That's for each of us to decide for ourselves, but the term I've begun using is "paradigm shift." Balance will be restored one way or another because that is the essence and nature of the universe. Given time, all elements of life return to their most balanced states. That includes us. It's not always easy, but embracing change to restore us to balance is easier than resisting the process.
