Charlon Bobo   The One Law

BookofLife
From The Book of Life written by
Dr. Michael Sharp, "The One Law" states:

"As Immortal Spirit, you are simply not allowed to muck around with energy, make your mistakes with it, and leave it for someone else to clean. As co-creators of physicality and partners in creation, we are all bound by the same universal spiritual law. The law operates as a sort of guaranteed balance mechanism and states that whatever you manifest, you must deal with. This is the law of spiritual responsibility or the One Law of the universe - so called because it is the only law we are a subject of.

The simplest way to describe the operation of this law is to say that it functions by returning to you any energy you stamp (or imprint). If you stamp energy with goodness and manifest with this energy, this is returned to you in equal measure the next time you need energy. If you stamp bad things onto energy, this energy is also returned to you in equal measure. The law returns to you the same quality energy you send and is an absolute law.

The One Law is simply about responsibility. If you create something, it is your responsibility to deal with it. If you mess up something, you have to fix it. This is the way of spiritual adulthood. You clean up after children. Adults fix their own messes."

Spiritual adulthood is about self-accountability. I love that. I'd like to see more models of this in our society.

The One Law is not about retribution or punishment. It simply is. You can believe in gravity or not. You can believe that blood runs through your veins or not. You can believe you heart beats or not. You can believe the sun will come up tomorrow or not.

Universal laws or principles aren't impacted by your belief in them for them to be true or continue happening. They have been. They are. They will continue to be.

In the case of The One Law, rules are NOT meant to be broken. What you set in motion is required to be cleared - sooner or later - by YOU.

Invest now or later. It's truly your choice.

However, let me make a proposal. It is so much easier to stamp experiences in the moment by being aware in your now, realizing what's happening, and intentionally imprinting them with goodness. It's an energetic way of wrapping a gift in paper and a bow. It's a way of releasing circumstances, conversations, relationships, exchanges, and situations with a finality.

Stamp with goodness and release.
Stamp with goodness and release.

(Author's note: The repetition is not an error. It's purposeful.)

There's no need to entertain circumstances, conversations, relationships, exchanges, and situations longer than absolutely necessary. Really. You don't need to. And you certainly don't need to accumulate them like they're some precious doll collection!

Let 'em go, but before you do, stamp 'em with goodness.

Think of it like this: It's the different between handling your business now and procrastinating. Certainly you know what that feels like. We all do.

Let me use a business analogy. Say I have 5 items on my to-do list. I step into my office and just don't feel like doing anything. I make an executive decision to rest today and complete my tasks tomorrow. There's nothing wrong with this choice. However, tomorrow I might feel like doing the same thing. And the next day. And the next.

Tasks or the need to imprint doesn't go anywhere. They will be there waiting when you're ready.

I assert there's another component to the scenario presented in the quote by Michael Sharp.

It is stated we can imprint with goodness or negativity. The other component is we imprint nothing because we take no action. This hardly seems like an option, but then again so does stamping with negativity.

Limbo leaves us worse off than imprinting negativity. With the latter, to some degree you know what's coming. Doing nothing is paralysis. It's putting off today's business for tomorrow. Tomorrow always comes, doesn't it? Why not start fresh every day - even every moment - by wisely investing the seconds required when the need to stamp arises. Choose goodness. Eliminate the negative "boomerang" effect of stamping with negative impressions. Simply put, it's just a bad idea!

There's another disadvantage to not addressing pressing issues: They seem to haunt you. No matter how adept we think we are at escaping, we never do. We cannot seem to get far enough away. Somewhere in us we know we have pending issues. They rant - quietly at first, then ever-so-prominently - until we face them. Can you relate to this feeling? It's horrible.

Why create this work for yourself?

Manage the business of your life in the moment by addressing, healing, and bringing true closure. Stamp with goodness and release.

What's the difference between Stamping with Goodness or Negativity?

That's easy. For the most part, stamping with goodness is a conscious act. Stamping with negativity is what happens when we are unaware of the power of our thoughts, words and actions. It's when our life controls us instead of us managing our life.

There are people who consciously stamp with negativity. You don't want to be around this person when the Goddess of Karma decides it's time to balance the scales!

How Do You "Stamp Goodness"?

You can be certified right here, right now! It is the power of your thoughts that stamp either goodness or negativity.

Whenever you feel anything but peace, you are presented with an opportunity to stamp. This method for stamping goodness works every time:
  1. Turn inward - Stop what you're doing, close your eyes and be silent
  2. Become aware - Recognize and acknowledge what's happening
  3. State your intent - With a clear and specific intention, your energy is focused on the positive, e.g. "It is my intent to stamp this frustration (or other emotion) with goodness for the benefit of all parties."
  4. Go deeper into silence - Assess how you feel after stating your intent. Common characteristics are: lightness, peace, freedom, giddiness, contentment, etc.
  5. Release all connection to your feelings and the situation - You can now go about the business of your day with freedom in knowing you did something positive and constructive with both your feelings and the situation
  6. Anticipate magical resolve - Once you stamp goodness and sever your tie to a specific outcome, what happens next will astound and delight you. Spiritual resolve comes in many forms, but it always contains an element of "I never would have thought of that!" That's because the "how" is not up to you.
A Note of Caution:

Ignorance of this law is no excuse. Using the law of gravity as an example, you can be completely unaware of this law's existence. I promise though, if you jump off a 20-story building, the outcome will not be altered because of your ignorance of it.

From this moment on, you are aware of the law and it's impact on you and others.

Stamp with goodness. Stamp and release.
