OCS Releases CSBG Funds to States

NCAF has learned that the Office of Community Services (OCS) at the Department of Health and Human Services has released CSBG funds pursuant to the Continuing Resolution (CR) that is funding the government until November 18th.  Currently, HHS has released $63 million to 39 states and to most tribal entities.  The amount allocated was just over 13% of the FY2011 level, equivalent to the seven week period of the CR as a share of the full fiscal year.

OCS leaders tell us that they are working to get all state plans for CSBG approved as soon as possible.  If you are expecting funds but have not received a FY 2012 allocation from your state, please let us know.
