As many of you realize, we are concerned that given the Administration's attempts to cut CSBG funding by at least 50% and that their desire to focus on performance and quality, OCS would allow states flexibility in how they fund CAPS that they determine are poor performers. On June 1, 2011 OCS informed the states of such potential flexibility in developing the FY2012 state plans.

We raised these concerns with the appropriate people in Congress. On Wednesday June 22, 2011 OCS informed some of our key Congressional allies that they will not revise the CSBG State Plan Guidance. The FY2012 guidance will be the same as FY2011. However stay involved with your state CSBG planning process.
