ROUND ONE: DONE!
Though we have yet to see anything in print, it looks like CSBG will be funded at $680 million in the CR, a 2.9% cut from FY10 levels, in a bill that cut Labor-HHS programs by $13 billion. The final print agreement should be available later today. The House is expected to vote on it Wednesday, followed by Senate shortly thereafter. We expect that it will pass, though a number of House Republicans are likely to vote against it because it it does not contain enough cuts, while a number of liberal Democrats will vote against it because it contains too many cuts.
Thank you for your support; we've cleared our first hurdle of many. Round two starts almost immediately.
We will update you with additional details on the CR as they become available.
