PRAYER

Heavenly Father, holy is thy name. Thank you, Father, for protecting me and providing for me my entire life.

Father, many have passed on and have not been blessed with the privilege of a full and abundant life or such security and safety as you have blessed me and others with.  Therefore, Father, I pray that I always glorify your name in my words and in my actions today and every day and that I let all the world know of your amazing grace already shown toward me.

Thank you, Father. I love you. In Jesus' name. Amen.

What is Your Testimony?
Monday, April 4, 2011

Godly Woman!

We all love to hear of stories of individuals who have overcome great adversity. They give us hope and increase our faith. They help us to carry on and not give up and they remind us that there is a God--a God who loves us and is for us.

If you've been homeless or been through a lot of suffering and pain or have faced a near death experience, and God has brought you through to a victory, then no doubt you have a great testimony that should be broadcasted!

However, some people, because they have not faced extreme hardship like death or profound poverty, believe that they have no testimony at all.  But that is not correct. The truth is that those who have not faced great hardship have a great testimony too, if not a bigger one! What is their testimony? Their testimony is that for their entire lives God has blessed them greatly and has guarded and protected them completely from affliction and shame above others. He has also saved them from a very evil world though many others have suffered intensely, to the point of needing professional help, and some even died!

Yes! How many people do you know who can say they haven't been through anything worth testifying about? How many people do you know who were not abused, neglected or raised in a poor or drug-infested environment? Not many because it is rare. Yes, it seems almost everyone comes from some type of dysfunctional home. So, having been raised in a loving home flowing with abundance and spared hardship is indeed a rare but huge blessing! Even more so if one has been able to keep her faith intact!

Therefore, those who have not faced great hardship also have an enormous motivation to be grateful to God, to live a life of thanks and to go to the top of the mountain and shout!  So if you ever believed or said, "I don't have a testimony, or anything to testify about," yes you do! Everyone does! So, what is your testimony?

FOCUS SCRIPTURE

"But I don't care what happens to me, as long as I finish the work that the Lord Jesus gave me to do. And that work is to tell the good news about God's great kindness" (Acts 20:24 CEV).
