THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

Thanksgiving Everyday

"Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Thanksgiving is over, or is it? As we head "back to school" this week, let's let gratitude infect our school day with a fresh and grateful perspective!

ARTICLE OF THE WEEK

When Life Broadsides Your Homeschool - Vicki Bentley

Mrs. Vicki Bentley, a veteran homeschooler of 17 children over the last 15 years, provides helpful advice on what to do about your well-planned curriculum when the unexpected strikes. She discusses the necessity of redefining "normal," establishing simpler routines, and making shorter lists of priorities. More importantly, instead of yielding to the tendency to blame ourselves for the crisis, we should remember that "the Lord's mercies are new every morning" (Lamentation 3:22, 23) and model a Christ-like attitude.
