RA News
(Responsible Adult)

The 2012/13 marching band season is fast approaching and it's going to be an exciting one!

RAs have the essential task of safely getting this large band to and from competitions and on and off the field. Many jobs, large and small, are available to ALL who want to be involved. Click here for a detailed description of RA duties.

This will be my 7th and last year as a Responsible Adult and Head RA for the AVHS Marching Dons. My youngest daughter is a senior! I am looking for someone who wants to work with an amazing group of band students and their amazingly helpful volunteer parents. This job could be shared between a couple of volunteers. Please contact me if you are interested in this position and would like to know more!

Check out these reusable bags!

Even if you can't attend these events, you can support the band by purchasing these special reusable bags.  Cost is $10 for these one of a kind Amador purple bags.

Contact Kim Page to purchase one for you or your friends.

IF IT IS TUESDAY, IT'S TIME FOR THE FOOD TRUCKS!

Our Food Truck Tuesday Fiestas are a big hit.

Band families and friends and supporters are coming out to enjoy a delicious dinner and see friends.  Every Tuesday night from 4:30-9pm the food trucks will be parked at the Amador front student parking lot (on Santa Rita).  Tell your friends and enjoy dinner and music from our own band students.  A portion of the proceeds support the band's trip to the Fiesta Bowl Championships.

WE NEED YOUR HELP TOO!

All of our summer fundraisers are certainly paying off.  We are earning necessary funds and generating awareness to help support our Fiesta Bowl and other band activities.  Money is not the only thing we need; we also need support from the band families to staff these activities.  Can you help us?  Please reply back to Ellen McGraw if you can help us with any of these volunteer opportunities.
