A personal note...    On April 29th (yes, the day after the Magic of Music...) I have pledged myself to participating in the first annual certified 1/2 marathon in Pleasanton (which is also my first 1/2 marathon!)  Proceeds from the event (which includes a sponsored 5K Family Run) will benefit Pleasanton Partnerships in Education Foundation (PPIE).  PPIE is a huge supporter of programs at all levels in our schools.  If you'd like more information on the event, please visit www.pleasantonhalf.com.  Hope to see you at the finish line!

Looking for a simple way to help AFM without meetings, projects, etc.?  The current coordinator of our Grocery Loyalty Programs (Raley's and Lucky's) will be stepping aside with her senior's graduation this year.  This low-key position requires very little time: simply match a quarterly statement of credits to band members' card numbers and pass the information on to AFM's treasurer four times a year.  It's the perfect way to contribute if your schedule prevents you from volunteering for some of the larger efforts. Email Jenny Howard if interested.
