The 37th Campana Jazz Festival
It's finally here!
Don't miss this great festival! The Amador Friends of Music, and the Music Department of Amador Valley HS, will be hosting 45 ensembles from 24 schools this Saturday, February 11th! The first downbeat is at 8:00 am. The day of jazz culminates in two special events: the Pleasanton Middle Schools Showcase Concert at 5:00 pm in the Amador Theater, and, immediately following, the Awards Concert at 5:30 pm in the Amador Theater. Your admission ($10 general, $8 student/seniors, and free for five and under) provides entry to all performances and the awards concert!

Congrats!
The Amador Winter Guard and the Pleasanton Unified MS Winter Guard both brought home 2nd place honors at the home show on Saturday. Amador's Winter Percussion group brought home the 1st place trophy at the same event.
Thank you...to each parent and student who volunteered time and resources at Saturday's winter show. The whole day ran smoothly thanks to the efforts of all involved. A special thank you to Beth and Andy Foort who coordinated the show this year. We couldn't have done it without you!

Les Miserables, perhaps the greatest musical of all time, is celebrating it's 25th anniversary and will be in San Francisco. For just $85 you can have a mezzanine seat at the Orpheum Theater in San Francisco on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 8pm. And that's not all! American Stage Tours, our amazing ride to all marching band events and Disneyland trips, has donated 2 luxury coaches for the event. You and your guests will ride in style from Amador Valley High School directly to the theater and be returned to Amador after the show. In turn, Amador Friends of Music and Harvest Park's music program will split the proceeds, each earning a healthy profit for music in our schools!

Spamalot is a hilarious musical comedy based on the 1974 film, Monty Python and the Holy Grail. For just $60, you can have a mezzanine seat for Spamalot at 8pm on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 (spring break) at the Orpheum Theater in San Francisco. We are able so sell these tickets below their face value and raise some valuable funds for Amador Friends of Music, thanks to SHN: The Official Site of Broadway in San Francisco. Note that Spamalot tickets do not include transportation.
