As we close the book on 2011 I wanted to take a moment to share my deepest thanks for the community that you provide and your support for music education at Amador Valley. From marching band to concert band, guard and percussion to jazz, orchestra to choir, every aspect of this music program shines at the highest levels of excellence. This is not by mistake or coincidence. And it is a group effort to make our music program what it is-world class!
Thank you to Nina and Rahael Borchers, Anne Gove, Jody Harcourt and Ellen Pensky for volunteering as ushers for the winter concert on Tuesday. We played to a standing room only crowd and it was a wonderful night of music making!
And lastly, thank you so much for the generous gift presented to me at the concert. I am truly humbled by your inclusion of me in your giving this holiday season. I wish you each the best for a peaceful and restful holiday break and look forward to a great 2012 with the Amador band family!
With thanks,
Jon Grantham Director of Bands
