We March for Joplin

"We March for Joplin" took place on Saturday, October 1. We sold hundreds of sunglasses to band members and their families, and collected donations for the sponsorship of multiple band members. We raised $1,200 and hope to acquire even more through a penny drive and a few more fundraisers later happening later in the year!

Midnight
 Bowl-a-thon

Band council is planning on having the midnight Bowl-a-thon on Thursday, November 10th at Granada Bowl. We have no school that day! Parent chaperones are needed.  If you can help, please contact Sara Borchers.

Tuesday Snacks

Keep them coming! Just a reminder - no nuts. Look carefully at the ingredients on store bought treats. Thank you again.

CONGRATS!

To the band and colorguard for a stunning performance at the Sierra Cup Classic at Fresno State on Saturday.  Coming away with an impressive mid-season score of 85.95, the Marching Dons captured 4A/5A Sweepstakes as well as caption awards for Best Music, Best Marching, Best General Effect and Best Colorguard.  I am so proud of our entire band family for everything that we have done to get to this point.

HPMS and PMS 8th graders to join band on Friday  Look for an additional 75 future Marching Dons to be on the track with the band on Friday night!  Report time for section leaders is 5:30 and for the full band it is 6:00.  The band is done after half-time.

A look ahead... The schedule and itinerary for both the James Logan competition and championships will be available next week.  Stay tuned for further details and check the website regularly for the latest updates.
