AVHS Winter Percussion and Winterguard Show Saturday, February 5, 2011
AVHS will be hosting one of the largest CCGC (California Color Guard Circuit) events other than Championships. Our Winter Percussion and Winterguard units are very dedicated, and their shows are fabulous! If you have never seen Winter Percussion and Winter Guard, you are in for a treat.
Winter Percussion uses the "pit" instruments and the drum line corps, playing and marching in precision formations inside the gym. Winterguard uses recorded music to perform dance, precise formations, and spinning of flags, rifles and sabers. Both events are truly the "Sport of the Arts". To make this competition a success we need the help of parent volunteers. Student sign ups have been posted in the Band Room. Specifically, we need the following: Winter Percussion Coordinator-help me recruit and communicate with WP families Campus Supervision 2nd Shift 1-4, 3rd Shift 4-8, 4th Shift 8-End Do you like to be outside?
