WINTER BANQUET
Hello Band Parents,
On Friday, November 10th, from 7pm to around 10 pm, the AVHS Winter Banquet will take place in the MP. This banquet is to celebrate a great season of marching band with awards both voted by the band and from section leaders. Mr. G, AFM members, and staff members will also speak about the season. All marching band students are HIGHLY encouraged to come, and we also invite parents to tag along and enjoy the night as well. The attire is formal (girls: homecoming dress like; guys: dress shirt and dress pants). This year, we will be having a potluck, where each section will be assigned to bring food for everyone else. Here is the list:
Battery / Pit / Colorguard = desserts (brownies, cookies, etc.)
Flutes / Clarinets = Drinks (please bring individual cans of soda, juice, water, etc.; no big gallon bottles)
Trumpets / Trombones / Tubas / Mellophones / Bass Clarinets / Bari, Tenor, and Alto Saxophones = finger foods (examples: taquitos, bagel bites, chicken nuggets, pizza rolls, chips (potato), veggie trays + dip, fruit trays, sandwich trays (costco), egg rolls, etc. - something you don't have to eat with utensils)
We strongly encourage a wide diversity of food and drink! We suggest that the portions of food should be able to feed 10 people.
