Rabbi Jonathan Omer-Man, guide to seekers and teacher of rabbis.
Ex-kibbutznik, electrician and welder, editor and publisher. Student of sober Sufism, and blogger. Early on, Rabbi Omer-Man felt drawn to Jewish mysticism, and 30 years ago brought the Hasidic masters' contemplative teachings from Israel to America, setting ripples in motion that continue to spread.
Whether you are a long-time practitioner or newly curious, join us to consider the trajectory of Jewish spirituality and the future of the movement to infuse Jewish life with contemplative practices. We'll examine together:
What role does Western Buddhist thought play in this movement?
What contemplative practices are rooted in mainstream Judaism today?
Does changing our inner lives affect the world we live in?
Your donation to the Institute for Jewish Spirituality will sustain our work to transform and revitalize Jewish life, ensuring Rabbi Omer-Man's legacy.
We look forward to seeing you on the 20th!
