Greetings!
Dear Friends,
In honor of Tu Bishvat, we wanted to share with you one of the newest buds in our IJS flowering: a vibrant and interactive web based resource called THE PRAYER PROJECT (see links to the right).
This
page is designed to stimulate thought and invite conversation about one
of the most compelling and perplexing challenges in the life of the
Jewish people, at the same time as it provides resources for nourishing
the prayerful soul.
This month's topic focuses on an
exploration of "Prayer and Non-Duality," and features an article by Jay
Michaelson of the same title, a chant of Ein Od Milvado led by Ebn Leader, an 18-minute guided meditation written by Sheila Weinberg, a mini-yoga sequence taught by Myriam
Klotz, and a short poem written by me. This month's featured resource is Mike Comins' new and important book, Making Prayer Real (Jewish Lights Publishing).
We hope that you will find time to explore this page and help define the growing conversation that the IJS is hoping to inspire about prayer.
Many,
many thanks to Sadie Rosenthal who has designed and set up this page
with her tremendous skill, intelligence and aesthetic sensitivities.
I look forward to our evolving conversation!
Shabbat Shalom and Tu BiShvat Sameach, Nancy
