John Runnings, of Running Rock Art's, latest creation is the single Dragonfly! Each is individually crafted, flame-cut, textured, shaped, heat-colored, and finished in his Northern California studio. No two are alike and are beautiful on their own or in a "swarm" travelling up a wall, over a door, or in your own arrangement that suits your personal style. The sculptures are approx. 4" x 6" with an engraved signature on the back of each.
Why the Dragonfly? Native Americans as well as many other cultures have, for thousands of years, recognized the dragonfly as a symbol of positive life force and good luck. The dragonfly is a reminder to "Live life to the fullest" and to make the most of our time here on earth.
And, its association with water symbolizes purity, dreaming, happiness, and change.
Each dragonfly comes with a metal hook for easy hanging.
