Local Scenes by Steve Memering | | *NEW* Rainbow Bridge Twilight by Steve Memering |
View work by one of Sacramento's most admired artists Steve Memering. Uncomfortable with photographic realism, Steve prefers to "interpret", rather than "report", a subject. "I paint what I remember; not what I see" Steve explains. "I try to edit out everything not essential and get to what is really there."
Steve will be at the gallery from 5-6pm, but his artwork will remain throughout the evening.

Fair, Balanced....and Dead
This past Saturday, Steve Swatt visited American Visions Gallery in Folsom to answer questions about writing and about television news, and to sign copies of his novel, "Fair, Balanced ... and Dead." The gallery has a few signed copies. Proceeds go to local charities: "It's a good read, a good cause, and a great gift."
And we just learned that Swatt's book is a finalist in two significant categories in the 2010 Next Generation Indie Book Awards: As a crime novel, and as a political thriller. You can find the Sacramento Bee's Rick Kushman's book review at Click Here
Autographed Books Available in the Gallery Let the gallery know if you would like us to hold any copies for your gift-giving.
