A public memorial service for Sen. Scott White has been scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, in the Meany Hall Theater on the University of Washington Campus in Seattle.
Meany Hall is located near the intersection of 15th Avenue NE and NE 40th St.
Directions to Meany Hall and information about nearby parking can be found at this link. The closest parking will be in the Central Plaza Underground Garage located beneath Meany Hall. It will be open and free of charge on that date; entrance to the Garage is at the intersection of 15th Avenue NE and NE 41st.
Attendees are urged to carpool in order to minimize parking issues.

Tent City 3, Returns to Shoreline.
On Saturday, October 29, 2011 Tent City 3 returned to the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church at 14514 20th Avenue NE, Shoreline 98155 (on the corner of 145th St NE). This is their third visit to Prince of Peace and their sixth stay in Shoreline. They will live there for 90 days.
With the cold and wet weather returning there are many additional needs the residents of Tent City 3 have. the 32nd District Democrats are holding a drive to collect some of these itmes.
Our Tent City 3 Drive will collect
- Blankets
- Clothing (larger sizes and warm clothing mostly needed)
- Coffee in cans (they go through about a 3# can of coffee daily)
- Tarps (no leaks preferred sizes of 16x20, 20x24, 20x30, 24x36)
- Blankets
- Socks and Gloves
- Personal Care Items (soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, cold & pain relief, feminine products)
- cash donations to help pay for porta pottie rental and bus tickets.
Deliveries to Tent City will be made weekly during the next 60 days.
