Greetings!
At tonight's meeting of the 32nd District Democrats, I will lead a training on using VoteBuilder for the 2011 and 2012 campaigns. Yesterday's election in Wisconsin illustrates the importance of a strong ground game to win elections. Democrats were able to recall two Republican State Senators for supporting a Republican agenda that is unfair to hard-working Americans.
To counter the money by the Koch Brothers, who have poured millions of dollars against President Obama, it is our responsibility to spread our values, one neighbor at a time. To help with this effort, Democrats use VoteBuilder and tonight's training is going to help you use it to build a stronger community.
VoteBuilder is the Democratic Party's voter database system. It is a list of every registered voter in your precinct, their likely party, voting history, and other demographic data. Candidates use it for voter targeting, we use it for GOTV phone calls, and PCOs can use the system to help with your canvassing efforts. We will use it for GOTV calls this fall and in 2012 and I want you to have the knowledge to use this important tool.
On tonight's agenda, we will be voting on a motion to revise the standing rules and may consider endorsements for positions in Lake Forest Park.
