"I-1033 would be a disaster for hospitals."

Dear ,

Your Vote Counts - See this year's recount in Edmonds for why you should vote

Across King County, only one of every two registered voters is expected to cast their ballot in this November 's election. This means that barely a quarter of the State could strip away basic rights from all Washingtonians or make it difficult to provide health care or education in our State.

We must do everything we can to increase voter turnout in our district. We must talk to our neighbors and remind them of the stakes involved in this election. We need you to help us make phone calls to infrequent Democratic voters and remind them to vote.

If you are a PCO, all you need to do is log into VoteBuilder and go to Virtual Phone Bank between 11 and 8:30 and follow the script. If you are not a PCO, please send me (chris.roberts@32democrats.org) an email saying that you would like to help and I will set you up with an account.

If phone calls are not your strength, we are going to canvass and literature drop every weekend from the office at 509 NE 165th St in Shoreline between now and the election. We meet between 10 and 12 on Saturdays and 12:30 and 1 on Sundays.

I hope to see you there.

Fired up!

32nd District Democrats Sample Ballot

In non-partisan elections, it is often difficult to know what values candidates hold. In order to receive the endorsement of the 32nd District Democrats, each candidate was vetted by an endorsement committee and/or the membership and endorsed by at least 60% of the District's membership.

A full list of endorsements can be found at http://www.32democrats.org/page/8988.

If you would like to share our endorsements with your friends and neighbors, a printer-friendly ballot can be found here (.pdf).
 Help our Endorsed Candidates

With just over a week before the election, please consider making a donation to or volunteering for our endorsed candidates. Literature for all of these candidates are located at our office at 509 165th Street in Shoreline.

Approve Referendum 71 - www.approvereferendum71.org/
Yes on King County Charter Amendment #4
What you need to Know about R-71

Referendum 71 is a statewide vote on Washington's domestic partnership law that will be on the November ballot, and we have to make sure voters understand and approve it.

Here's four things you need to know about R. 71:
  • The Progressive vote is to Approve R. 71.

  • Approving R. 71 will keep the domestic partnership law so that all committed couples in Washington State are treated equally under state law.

  • More than 12,000 people are registered as domestic partners in Washington state, in every county of the state.

  • Domestic partnership rights and obligations for committed partners mean things like the right to use sick leave to care for a seriously ill partner, and death benefits for the partners of police and firefighters killed in the line of duty.
We believe that it's only fair to protect people equally under the law and that families who take responsibility for each other should be able to protect themselves, especially in times of crisis.
