The Oakland Zoo Welcomes Three New Additions
2011 has been an exciting year so far for the Oakland Zoo. Ginger, a four-year-old North American River Otter gave birth to two River Otter pups in February, a male named Ahanu and a female named Tallulah. The pups were as light of a stick of butter at birth, which is about 100 grams. Also in February, a baby Eastern Wallaroo Joey (a Kangaroo) was welcomed to the Zoo, the first in over a decade in Oakland. Make sure to book your trip to the Zoo to see these new additions before they grow up! For more about the Oakland Zoo, visit www.oaklandzoo.org. |
