America's Children's Holiday Parade
The 11th annual Oakland Holiday Parade brings cheer to the streets of Oakland on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. The event, presented by the Oakland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce Foundation, invites visitors and locals to celebrate the season with festive floats, balloons and marching bands. Honorary Grand Marshal Mr. Steve from Mornings on PBS Kids will be accompanied by Miss Rosa on a ride through the streets of downtown Oakland, singing popular holiday tunes. Shopping that Saturday? Catch the PBS rebroadcast, which is also aired by viewers of the Armed Services Network around the world. That night, head for a waterfront restaurant at Jack London Square to watch the Lighted Yacht Parade.
