 Greek FestivalOPA! Oakland Greek Festival
On May 15-17, the Oakland Hills come alive with the sights, sounds and flavors of Greece. The Greek Festival features three stages of music and dozens of food booths, serving up specialties such as baklava, spanakopita and grilled lamb. The event takes place on the grounds of the spectacular Greek Cathedral of the Ascension which is open to the public.

Oakland ZooMother's Day at Zoo and Chabot Space
Treat a mom to special days out at two of Oakland's favorite family-friendly destinations. At the Oakland Zoo she can start with brunch at the Island Café before heading out to see elephants, meerkats, giraffes, and much more. Best of all, train rides are Free for Moms all day on Mother's Day. Thanks to a grant from the Koret Foundation, admission for everyone is free on May 10 at the Chabot Space & Science Center. In addition to the regular exhibits, she'll get to experience the new Kinetic Sculpture by Reuben Margolin.

New at Oakland International Airport
Southwest Airlines' expanded service from Albuquerque, Kansas City and Nashville to Oakland International Airport (OAK) begins May 9. OAK now offers non-stop service to Eugene, OR, on Allegiant Air. Allegiant also offers flights between OAK and Bellingham, WA.
