A's CelebrationOakland: Cheer on a Sports Triple-Play
With a trio of major league sports teams in town, Oakland is always up for a good game. The Oakland Athletics, Golden State Warriors and Oakland Raiders are three of the most exciting teams in the country. Think these tickets are majorly expensive? Think again. Warriors tickets start at $15 and A's tickets begin at $10. Take advantage of group ticket prices for a great day out with the family, friends or colleagues. For sold-out games, look for tickets at the Ticket Exchange areas of the team websites. Whatever the final score, sports fans can celebrate the easy connections to the McAfee Coliseum and ORACLE Arena by Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) and by AC Transit.

Downtown Dining: Convenient Cuisines
Breads of India

There's an abundance of restaurants just steps away from the exhibit halls at the Oakland Convention Center. Newly opened at the Washington Inn, Seison offers seasonal fare in an elegant setting. The menu at Levende East is an eclectic mix of Latin, Asian and European. Feel like something a bit spicier? Try the gourmet curries at Breads of India. If you're looking for local favorites, check out Best of the Best.

Paramount Theatre: Art Deco SplendorParamount Theater
From its neon entrance to his ornate tiled bathrooms, Oakland's Paramount Theatre is an architectural masterpiece. But it's also one of the top arts venues in the Bay Area. This year the Oakland East Bay Symphony is going global, with concert programs celebrating Chinese New Year and music from Persia. Look out for laughs when Chris Rock hits the stage in April. The Golden Gate Geographic Society features films highlighting locations around the world. R&B favorites The Whisperers will also play there. Throughout the year, you can also take guided tours of the building.
Claremont SpaSpas: Relax and Say "Ahhhhhh"

For the utmost in luxury, pamper yourself with a package at The Claremont Resort & Spa. New and exotic treatments include the Tibetan Sound massage and water therapies. Day spas such as Piedmont Springs let you pop in and pop out in time for lunch. Shops in Chinatown offers traditional foot massages for both men and women.
