CHANCELLOR DAN KLAICH'S STATEMENT
ON DR. MILTON D. GLICK
AND GOVERNOR BRIAN SANDOVAL
April 21, 2011

"Earlier this week in the wake of the tragic and sudden death of Dr. Milton Glick, a political reporter, quoting me, insinuated that I felt Gov. Brian Sandoval bore some culpability in Dr. Glick's death.  Nothing could be further from the truth. The words I spoke merely indicated that Milt Glick, a good and caring man, had a heavy heart with the cuts he was forced to make.

I have no doubt that Brian Sandoval, also a good and caring man, has an equally heavy heart with cuts being made throughout state agencies in this biennial budget. Milt expressed to me a number of times personally his deep respect and admiration for the governor.

My words, which were horribly contorted, have undoubtedly caused pain to the governor and his family, and I would like to publicly apologize for that pain."
