6 Years of Leadeship Training Schools
ConferenceIn a nation where Bible training is not readily available to all who minister the gospel, ATM has spent each January training leaders. ATM began the schools in Tarapoto, a Peruvian city in the high jungle and at the headwaters of the Amazon Basin. While four schools were taught by Gary King and Bill Lewis, leaders from around the region began attending. The information and training was appreciated and invitations began to come from other cities. Last year Bruce Ekern joined the teaching team and the school was held in Moyobamba, two hours into the mountains from Tarapoto. The 2007 team saw real Book of Acts miracles including tumors disappearing and eyesight restored. The 2008 team so far has recorded many healings and 50 leaders received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of Speaking in Tongues at the conference.

The Team Being Fed Throughout the year there are a few ATM churches which put part of their tithe into international investment in the Kingdom of God. The conference is totally underwritten by ATM. The conference is free to the attendees. All those that come are fed lunch everyday. The Peruvian ATM pastors coordinate the conference and help house and feed the attendees. This year there were pastors who walked five hours out of the jungle to get to a place to get a taxi and travel two more hours by car to attend the conference. There were a group of pastors that traveled seven hours by bus from another state to attend. The investment is to train them, put materials in their possession so others can be trained, to help them pastor and teach their people, and to feed them while they attend. The lunches are prepared by a team of ladies from the ATM churches which have been planted in the area. They cook outside for an average of 130 people. The food is excellent with lots of chicken, rice, plantain, fruit, and great fellowship. ATM also invests in translators. Peruvians travel with the team to interpret as they preach and pray for people. These young people are from the ATM churches in Tarapoto and they do an excellent job and make great friends with the team members.
Training Peruvians and US Americans in Ministry

wood fire french friesTo say that the Peruvian church is grateful is an understatement. When we finished the conference, we were approached and asked to return next year. They were getting letters from several different states requesting that another conference be held. The regional leader of the Pentecostal church guaranted us that he personally would have all his leaders there. By going each year, we have been, not only able to train Peruvian leaders, but we are also training the future leaders of churches in the USA. Our teams minister to 200-300 people each year by praying for them in teams. They pray for healings, miracles, and prophesy over them. Each person prayed for receives a cassette tape of their prophecies. Those on the team may start out never having ministered in this fashion, but by the third day they are prophesying as well in the team context.

The concept of team ministry is being well received by many of the leaders and it was evident that they were beginning to practive team. Our Peruvian ATM team is Pastor Wilman, Pastor Jhon, Pastor Alonso, Pastor Adan, and Pastor Eloy.  They work hard to serve the leaders of the region.

Our teams come from the 3-D Academy and from members of ATM churches that have a heart for South America. We will also have a team sent to Peru in the summer of 2008. Spots are available on that team. Contact the ATM office for information..

Little girlIt is time for us to once again catch a world vision and continue to reach out by sending teams of apostles into the field once again. We are looking for young men and women who will accept the challenge. Tim and Jasmine Alberino are our footsoldiers on the field and they are in their early 20's. They are doing a great job serving ATM Peru.

Sincerely,
